Jane Fonda, 73, displays age-defying figure in sheer dress
She may be 73, but Jane Fonda is looking and feeling as good as a woman a third of her age. A photograph of the actress and fitness guru in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine shows her looking stunning in a slinky black Stella McCartney dress complete with sheer panels with polka dot detail. The actress tells the publication that she has learned to love herself after a long battle with bulimia and issues with her self-image.
“I wasn’t very happy from, I would say, puberty to 50. It took me a long time. It was in my 40s, and if you suffer from bulimia, the older you get, the worse it gets. It takes longer to recover from a bout,” she admits. She eventually stopped and instead turned to exercise. “I don’t do lunges, though, because I have a fake knee and a fake hip,” says Jane, who is promoting her new self-help book Prime Time. Despite her incredible figure, which she recently showed off to wide admiration at the Cannes Film Festival, the star reveals she has long battled with her self-image, partly due to her relationship with her father, actor Henry Fonda. “I was raised in the ’50s,” she explains. “I was taught by my father that how I looked was all that mattered, frankly. He was a good man, and I was mad for him, but he sent messages to me that fathers should not send: Unless you look perfect, you’re not going to be loved.” Now the actress is not letting her age get in the way of vanity, and says she is conscious of not trying to dress too young for her age. The star, who is a notable political activist, has earned two Academy Awards during her long career which has seen her star in film hits including Barbarella and Klute.

Kelly Osbourne takes a swipe at Kate Middleton
Days after slamming Christina Aguilera’s fuller figure and calling her a ‘fat *****’, Fashion critic Kelly Osbourne,
the star of E!’s Fashion Police, has turned her critical eye onto the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton. She appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and told him she thinks Kate shouldn’t recycle her wardrobe. “In England they are like, look how thrifty she’s being, showing the British public that the Royals are in a recession as well, only in this country they call it a faux pas,” she said. Kelly said Kate’s duties should entitle her to throw or give away her clothes at the end of every day. She fumed: “Well I’m sorry, but if I had that job I would only wear it once. If I am going to be the future Queen of England I’m going to wear that dress once because I’m giving up the rest of my life, all of my privacy, at least I can get a new dress every day.” Leno chimed in: “How about underpants? Would you throw them away?” Kelly replied: “Well, if I could I would. That’s a really good idea actually.”

The newly divorced actor Reynolds, 34, reportedly called off his brief summer romance with Theron, 36, in late July. A source told US Weekly magazine: “He only wanted something casual, but she’s in a rush to settle down, have kids and start a family since she’s getting older.” The source added that Charlize “didn’t take it very well when he broke it off. She knows deep down that it wouldn’t have worked, but she is pretty bummed out about it all.” The Change-Up star split from wife Scarlett Johansson in December and actress Charlize broke up with Stuart Townsend after dating for nine years. The pair are said to have started dating at the beginning of the summer.
