Traxx boost semis bid in Lloyd Plummer League
MAY PEN, Clarendon — Race Track (Traxx) boosted their semi-final hopes in the Central Clarendon/ INSPORTS/Lloyd Plummer Memorial Summer League with an easy 5-0 win over Galaxy on Thursday at West Park.
Hughan Gray led the way for Traxx with a well-taken second-half hat-trick after Gregory Morgan had notched the opener on 11 minutes.
Sporting Central wide-man Gray scored in the 57th, 75th and 80th minutes, before Roshane Brown added a fourth goal five minutes from full-time.
The win saw Traxx joining West Park on seven points atop Zone Two, but still in danger of missing out on a semi-final place based on their inferior goal difference and the fact that they have now completed their group schedule.
West Park and Traxx are being pursued by the unbeaten Little Brazil, who are on four points and have two games in hand.
