Moji Chic For FNO

The Jamaica Observer Celebrates Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) September 8, 2011, and thanks to our friends at Appleton Rum there’s a refreshing signature drink, aptly called “Moji Chic” — a careful blend of fresh pineapple, ginger and mint. David Walton, brand manager, Appleton Rum portfolio, requested the creative genius of Paul Blackwood, J Wray and Nephew bartender of over 10 years, to create the ultra-chic cocktail blend. The zesty, smooth, exotic Moji Chic is indeed ideal for fashionistas and jetsetters alike, who’ll enjoy copious amounts of smooth, refreshing sips before joining the rest of the world in a mega dose of retail therapy.

Cheers to Moji Chic and to another five hours of glorious shopping.

Moji Chic

Ingredients:

5 limes (cut in wedges)

3 oz clear syrup

4 oz Pure Country Pineapple Juice

284 ml club soda

3-4 sprigs of mint

3 quarter-sized slices of ginger

1/2 of a medium pineapple (cut into chunks)

400 ml Appleton Jamaica Rum Genesis

Method:

Place mint, ginger, limes and pineapple chunks in pitcher and muddle mixture in clear syrup.

Add Pure Country pineapple juice and Appleton Jamaica Rum Genesis.

Mix well.

Top mixture with soda water.

Serve over ice.

*Recipe makes one pitcher.
