Police following strong leads in St Bess murder

BLACK RIVER, St Elizabeth — THE St Elizabeth police say they are following strong leads in their investigation of the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of 54-year-old Jonathan Palmer in Balaclava shortly after midnight on August 1 (Emancipation Day).

Palmer, of Ontario, Canada and Union District in Balaclava was shot dead as he walked home after a night out.

The Investigations are continuing and we are following a certain lead which suggests that “robbery may not have been the motive for this murder”, head of the St Elizabeth police, Supt Maurice Robinson told the Observer West.
