Kenia Sinclair reaches women’s 800m final
JAMAICA’s Kenia Sinclair came through her semi-final to qualify for the final of the women’s 800 metres at the IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea today.
In the second semi, won by Caster Semenya of South Africa in 1:58.07 seconds, Sinclair held on despite a challenge from Fantu Magiso of Ethiopia to finish in 1:58.93 and qualify as a fastest loser.
Ekaterina Kostetskaya of Russia was second in 1:58.64.
The final will be run tomorrow morning at at 5:45 Jamaican time.
