NWC, Gran Bahai face off in Sandals BH final
AFTER playing to a stalemate last week, National Water Commission (NWC) and Bahai Principe Resort will today seek to crown themselves champions of the Sandals St Ann, St Mary Business House Football Competition when the two meet at 3:00 pm at Drax Hall.
Last week the teams played to an exciting 1-1 draw after extra time and 20 penalty kicks.
The goalkeepers were in immaculate form for both teams and the rest of the players seemed to have left their shooting boots at home, as a total of 14 penalties were missed by both teams.
The match, however, was a thriller, keeping fans on the edge of their seats as both NWC and Gran Bahai battled for the upper hand.
Spectators are hoping that today will be another classic encounter.
National Water Commission’s coach David Pryce has said all season that this is the title he covets most and nothing but a win could make it a successful season. His team still remains the only unbeaten team in the league and as such must start favourites.
Gran Bahai, however, must be cursing their unlucky stars for not beating NWC last week, as after going behind in the first five minutes of play, proved the more attacking and decisive team and for faulty shooting would have won the game.
