Reggae Boyz prepare for Honduras friendly
HEAD coach Theodore Whitmore will guide the Reggae Boyz in their first training session at 4:30 pm today at St George’s College in preparation for next Tuesday’s international friendly away to Honduras.
Five players — Damion Williams, Demar Phillips, Jason Morrison and the England-born pair of Marvin Elliott and Nathan Smith — were scheduled to arrive in the island last night to join six other overseas-based players — Dwayne Miller, Jermaine Taylor, JeVaughn Watson, Shavar Thomas, Luton Shelton and Rudolph Austin — who arrived earlier.
Keammar Daley, Omar Cummings and Dane Richards are set to get in today, with the other England-born player, Marcus Bean, expected in tomorrow.
Those players will join the local-based Richard Edwards, Wolry Wolfe, Xavian Virgo, Keneil Moodie and Gariece McPherson for today’s session, which will be followed by a gym session tomorrow morning and a return to St George’s for practice in the afternoon.
There is one field practice session slated for St George’s on Friday evening, with another gym session on Saturday morning and a final training session on Saturday evening, also at St George’s.
The team departs early Sunday morning for San Pedro Sula, Honduras, via Miami.
