What’s with the PNP?
Dear Editor,
It is to my shock and disbelief that the PNP, after championing the cause for transparency and truthfulness in the Dudus/Manatt saga which led to a televised Commission of Enquiry, are now requesting that their “Trafigura scandal” be held behind closed doors instead of in open court.
I would like them to explain to Jamaicans why the JLP should be held to scrutiny openly, but the PNP should not be, and whether this is an example of how they are going to conduct business if they should win the next general election.
I think the media should not fall asleep on this one. They were very significant in helping to get the JLP to answer to claims of perceived corruption, and so should they. For the Opposition, let us not paint a hypocritical picture as Jamaicans are demanding answers on this and any other matters that affect us.
