German Xmas carol service

THE Jamaican-German Society (JGS) under the distinguished patronage of German Ambassador HE Josef Beck, presents Weihnachtslieder 2011 — A Jamaican-German Christmas Carol Service.

The event — in collaboration with the Immaculate Conception High School Music Department and Chamber Orchestra — is scheduled to be held at the Lisa Narcisse Performing Arts Centre at Immaculate on Sunday, December 4 at 5:00 pm.

German Christmas Carols and the works of composers Bach and Handel will be featured.

Initiated last year, the Weihnachtslieder provides the opportunity for students of the German language and culture to share this with a wider audience.

Proceeds from the concert will go towards the Jamaican German Society and Immaculate Conception High School projects.
