London Parties — Kingston Style
While partygoers on The Rock were putting together their London swag and eagerly anticipating our version of the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project recently, the city of London was in full swing, with the Alexandra Palace transformed into a unique and extraordinary Jamaican party for the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project — Kingston style.
To complete the authentic sounds of Kingston, the London event was staged in front of a crowd of three thousand patrons of the Kingston Street Party main room: legendary Jamaican mento maestros The Jolly Boys and Dancehall hit man Assassin who also gave a unique rendition of Bob Marley’s One Love. In between performances, a range of Jamaican-inspired sets were delivered by British groups Basement Jaxx, Radio 1’s Rob da Bank with DJ Shepdog and MC Chunky and Toddla T.
