The presentation which was made at the institution recently, followed a request made by the student to the foundation for financial assistance in pursuing her education at the college.
Brennan, who earlier this year received a National Honour (OD) for community service and nation building told the Observer West that he was moved by the student’s request for help.
He suggested that he would provide further financial assistance to her and has pledged to be her mentor.
