Claro/KSAFA Super, Major Leagues resume today
THE Corporate Area’s top football competition, the Claro/KSAFA Super League recommences today with a a full set of matches, beginning at 3:00 pm.
Front-runners Barbican and Rae Town play away to Rockfort and Duhaney Park, respectively, Mountain View play Santos at Excelsior High school, Greenwich Town take on Olympic Gardens at Tinson Pen and August Town tackle UWI at the UWI Bowl. The game between Cavalier and Constant Spring has been postponed.
After seven rounds of games, Barbican still sit at the summit with 16 points, the same as Rae Town, but with a better goal difference.
Trailing closely by two points are defending champions Cavalier and Mountain View.
Greenwich Town come next with 10 points, followed by Duhaney Park, Santos and Constant Spring on nine each.
August Town come next with seven, then UWI with five and Olympic Gardens and Rockfort sit at the bottom with four points apiece.
Meanwhile, the Major League competition also resumes, but the top-of-the-table clash between Police National and Allman/Woodford has been postponed.
In other fixtures, JDF battle New Kingston at Up Park Camp, Meadforest travel to Breezy Castle to face Swallowfield, Real Mona play Molynes United at Buttercup Park, Bull Bay take on Shortwood at Bull Pen, Pembroke Hall go up against Maxfield at Pembroke Hall High School, while Cooreville are at home to Brown’s Town.
All matches kick off at 3:00 pm.
Police currently lead the 14-team standing with 19 points from seven matches, one more than their closest rivals Allman/Woodford.
The JDF, Meadforest and Real Mona are next with 10 points, followed by Bull Bay, Maxfield and Pembroke Hall with nine each.
