Rich Kid and Macka Diamond collaborate
Dancehall artiste Rich Kid has released the single What Must I Do, which features dancehall deejay Macka Diamond. The track is the first of three songs which will be included on his upcoming album Heading to the Top.
The song speaks to an intimate relationship between two persons. A video for the track is currently in the works.
Originally from Bridgeport in Portmore, Rich Kid migrated to Canada where he has been living for some time now.
Expanding on his talents, Rich Kid got involved in music production. He has produced music for the likes of Ghost, Buju Banton, Lady Saw, Macka Diamond, Fancy Face, Shelly J and others.
Former Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall finalist ready to take ‘charge’
Known professionally as Mr Charge, the former Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall finalist is busy pursuing a career in music. In the wake of the exposure he received from the televised competition, Mr Charge impressed the London-based Chaydia Records and landed a recording contract.
The artiste, whose real name is Dwayne Edwards, was born and raised in Kingston. He attended the Glengoffe Comprehensive High School in St Andrew where his love for music developed. After leaving high school he would often attend dancehall events in his hometown. He later took his inspiration from dancehall kingpin Bounty Killer whom he admires.
He would later perform at community events and functions honing his craft hoping to one day get into music professionally.
He recorded the songs Jamaica, Anything You Want, Me Wi Give You Nah Kill Me Friend for producer Junior Andy, son of veteran Jamaican artiste Horace Andy.
Mr Charge is optimistic about the future. He is confident that determination, persistence and dedication will be the driving force behind the success that he craves.

Adele bounces back to the top of the UK album chart for a 19th non-consecutive week with her album 21. Elsewhere, on the UK pop singles chart rapper Flo Rida scores his third number one UK single with Good Feeling. In 2009 he topped the chart with Right Round which featured singer Kesha. Last year, his Club Can’t Handle Me featuring David Guetta topped the chart.
Adele not only commands chart action in her homeland but the story is similar stateside. The album 21 holds firm at number one despite a falls in sales to 124,000 copies in the past week. The female dominance on the Billboard Hot 100 continues as Rihanna rebounds to number one with We Found Love to clock a ninth non-consecutive week in the penthouse.
Jay Z and Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter has become the youngest person to be featured on a song to make the Billboard charts. Glory by Jay Z featuring B.I.C debuts at number 74 on the Billboard R&B Hip Hop songs tally giving Jay Z his 107th entry on that chart. Jay-Z recorded his daughter’s first seconds of life including her breathing and cries. Technology today allows an advantage in that Jay-Z was able to record and release the song less than 48 hours after his daughter’s birth

Although she gained notoriety in the mid 1990’s with the smash hit Shy Guy, did you know that Diana King was the lead singer of a cabaret band called the City Heat Band? Her first single was a cover of Whitney Houston’s Saving all my Love For You which she recorded under the name Diana Flash. The song was produced by Vivian Jackson and released on the Rondor Music label in the late 1980’s.
