‘If I don’t slow down, work will kill me’

People Post

The 31-year-old presenter, Nick Cannon, who had hosted a hit morning show on WXRK, 92.3FM in America, said his decision came after his doctor told him he needed to cut down his workload. He said in a statement: “Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to cut back on some of my professional commitments to allow my body to get the rest it needs to keep up with the demands of my multitasking schedule. Even Superman has to sleep!” Mariah Carey’s husband — who suffered mild kidney failure earlier this year — was treated last week by doctors for two clots and an enlarged right ventricle in his heart after his immune system began attacking his organs.

Speaking on his radio show, Nick said: “I have been in the hospital, and actually, it’s quite serious. I didn’t even know. I was actually trying to downplay it a lot — even in my own mind — not go to the hospital because I was having a lot of pain in my back and I thought it was the typical kidney pain that I had been experiencing, but I thought it had been a little bit heightened….

Because of the blood clots in my lungs, I also had an enlarged ventricle in my heart. My antibodies (in) my immune system were attacking my organs and it made my body even weaker. My doctor was saying that my work is going to kill me — and he’s not joking. I think part of the reason why my health did kind of deteriorate was because I wasn’t resting a lot and I was doing too much.” Nick will continue to host America’s Got Talent as well as his other syndicated radio show Cannon’s Countdown.

‘She’s a beautiful baby’

She is the mother of a seven-year-old boy who she has described as the love of her life. But Solange Knowles is now feeling a different kind of love after becoming an aunt for the first time after her sister Beyoncé gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy last month. And Solange said although being an aunt is very different to being a mother, she still feels a very strong bond with her niece. She said: “It’s very different to being a mother, but there’s still that sort of magnetic bond and love that you can’t even put words on to describe.” The 25-year-old singer posed for a photo shoot for Rollacoaster magazine and gave an interview in which she talked about Blue, who was born early last month. And gushing about her gorgeous niece, she said: “I think babies in general are so lovable – and my sister’s baby, Blue, is so beautiful. She is really a beautiful little baby. It’s really special to have a niece because I have a son, so I get to have a little girl too.” But Solange, who lives in Brooklyn, New York with her son Daniel Julez, who she had with her ex-husband and childhood sweetheart Daniel Smith, said she hasn’t, and won’t be giving Beyoncé 30, any parenting advice. She explained: “I think it’s really important for every mother to find their own way. I think it’s actually the most annoying thing when you’re a new mum and you’re getting so much advice from other mothers! You really just have to feel it out for yourself. But she’s my best friend and we talk at least every other day.” Solange has been pretty busy recently as she is now modelling, DJing and about to make a new record. And she said she counts Beyoncé as one of her role models and said it helped her with her career.

Sophia Bush has split from her long-time boyfriend Austin Nichols it has been reported. The 29-year-old actress has finally decided to call it quits with the teen drama hunk. She had been dating the 31-year-old since they co-starred on One Tree Hill. They had been dating on and off for six years. A source told Us Weekly Sophia “didn’t think he was the one,” and added “she’s moving on.” It may come as no surprise for her fans, as she recently made a solo appearance at the Foster the People concert in Vegas. The actress has a history of romancing her co-stars. She was first married to former series star Chad Michael Murray before they divorced in December 2006. A couple years later, she began dating James Lafferty. Finally, in May 2010, Bush confirmed that she and Nichols has been an item for at least four years. Since she will soon be working on her new CBS comedy pilot Partners, she will now have the chance to snare another co-star. The actress will be able to widen her dating pool now One Tree Hill is coming to an end after nine seasons. The final episode will air on April 4 on The CW.
