The Grand Independence Ballroom of the Wyndham Kingston Hotel was transformed into a one-stop shop — for everything ahead of tying the knot — on February 18 and 19, for the Wyndham Wedding Spectacular. The impressive two-day Jamaica Observer-sponsored showcase, put on by Intuit Designs and the Wyndham Kingston, featured more than 40 exhibitors, including wedding planners, banks, insurance agencies, décor specialists, designers, photographers, hairstylists, make-up artists, videographers and honeymoon destinations. Newly-weds-to-be also got the opportunity to win several great wedding prizes to make their special day more memorable. These include: a US$5,000 wedding gown from Jamaica’s very own Nandi Chin — the 2011 Brides magazine ‘Operation Dream Dress’ winner; a wedding package valued at US$3,000 from noted destination wedding photographer Marcia E Roberts; a five-night Wyndham Resort Honeymoon package, as well as sectional prizes from the participating exhibitors.
