Duanvale Trelawny round champions

FALMOUTH, Trelawny — Duanvale FC were crowned Trelawny Football Association’s National Rums of Jamaica Major League mid-season champions on Saturday after beating Holland United 3-0 at the Elliston Wakeland Centre.

Duanvale FC were beating Holland for the second time this season after a 3-1 win in the first round and pocketed the $20,000 first prize.

They led 2-0 at half-time through goals from Gusea Young in the 38th minute and Dinval Wallace in the 44th before Davian Graham added a third in the 57th minute.

Both teams had topped the points tables after the first round with 26 points each with Duanvale just ahead on better goal difference.

The competition resumes on Saturday with three games to kick off the return round.
