Duanvale FC book Trelawny semi-final spot
DUANVALE, Trelawny — Duanvale FC secured their spot in the semi-finals of the Trelawny Football Association National Rums of Jamaica Major League on Saturday after beating Flames FC 4-0 in their return-round game at Duanvale.
Duanvale FC are now on 42 points, one behind leaders and early qualifiers Holland United, both from 18 matches played and both are certain to make it past the second round.
Davian Graham and Velroy McLaughlin both scored to take their goals tally to six each, while Gareth James and a Flames player scored the other goals for Duanvale.
Jackson Town and Prospect Links are tied for sixth place on 27 points each after wins over Friendship FC and Spicy Hill, respectively.
Kirk Fisher’s second goal of the campaign in the 87th minute gave Jackson Town a 1-0 win over Friendship and a plus-three goal differential, while Prospect FC trail on goal differential despite a 3-0 win over Spicy Hill.
Jeff Bennett scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season in the 33rd and 59th minutes while Dwayne Duncan got the other in the 66th minute for Prospect Links.
