And last night was no different for world-famous singer Rihanna, who found herself at the centre of a new scandal after posting a picture of herself ‘cutting up’ a white powered substance on the top of a man’s head. The 24-year-old singer posted the picture on photo-sharing website Instagram from her time at American music festival Coachella. Rihanna spent the event, partying and spending time with best friend Katy Perry.

The image, which sees Rihanna — real name Robyn Fenty — on the shoulders of a mystery man, was accompanied by the caption “Memories don’t live like people do #coachella”. Rihanna posted two pictures of herself on the shoulders of the man, with another close-up shot of the substance on his head. Fans posted over, 1000 comments on the snaps, claiming that the star ‘rolled a blunt on that dude’s head’, referring to marijuana, but others questioned if the substance was cocaine. One fan questioned: “Is that weed or coke?”, while others commended her for being so open, saying: “Priceless I love this girl”.

Not one to shy away from controversy, Rihanna, who has recently completed a promotion tour for her new film Battleship, posted on her Twitter account soon after: “I’m crazy and I don’t pretend to be anything else.” Rihanna’s controversial picture comes after the singer was pictured earlier this year smoking what appeared to be marijuana on holiday in Hawaii.

After a three-year career hiatus, Ashanti has her work cut out for her ensuring fans welcome her back into the spotlight. So the singer has been stepping out in some seriously eye-catching ensembles during promotion for her new single. The 31-year-old wore a bizarre jumpsuit to perform on The Jimmy Kimmel Show in West Hollywood this week. Ashanti left the studio in her black onesie, which featured a mesh front and back and quilted backside. The singer stayed comfortable in some white slippers after performing in towering heels. Ashanti belted out the new single The Woman You Love on the late night show, from her upcoming album BraveHeart to be released later in the year. Her last release, The Declaration, was in 2008.

Perhaps most bizarrely, it has been claimed that Cowell insists that only luxury black toilet paper is placed in the many bathrooms of his London and Los Angeles homes. The loo paper sets the music mogul back approximately £10 a roll. Additionally, the book claims that Cowell travels with suitcases full of creams, bath products and lotions to counteract ageing, takes ‘saucers full’ of tablets daily and undergoes routine Botox injections. The revelations keep coming as Cowell’s publicist Max Clifford told This Morning that he’d advised his client to not speak to the book’s author Tom Bower.
