Super League scent stronger for Cavalier
Champions Cavalier go into their KSAFA/Super League fixture this afternoon against Barbican at the Collie Smith Sport Complex, knowing that once they avoid defeat the title will be theirs for a third successive season.
In other games, Rae Town play away to Constant Spring, August Town entertain Santos at the UWI Bowl, Mountain View host Olympic Gardens at Excelsior High School, Rockfort take on UWI at Rockfort and Greenwich Town play Duhaney Park at Tinson Pen.
All games start at 3:30 pm.
Cavalier lead the Super League standings with 46 points, nine more than chasing Rae Town with three games remaining.
Rae Town’s only chance of upstaging the designated champions, would be to see them lose their three remaining matches and they in turn win all of theirs.
Meanwhile, the Major League competition is set to go down to the wire with five games to go.
Allman/Woodford lead the table on 46 points, three more than main rival, Police National, who they defeated last week to surge ahead of the pack.
In today’s round of matches, Allman/Woodford travel to Cooreville, Police National host Maxfield, Molynes entertain Shortwood at home, Brown’s Town tackle Real Mona at Buttercup Park, Pembroke Hall play at home to New Kingston, while Swallowfield are at home to Bull Bay. All games start at 3:30 pm.
