Rollins Success
These students from the John Rollins Success Primary School in St James are no doubt quite enthused about a story being read simultaneously by them and Patrice Porteous, customer service representative at First Global Bank (Montego Bay Branch), during a reading exercise at the co-educational institution recently.
The exercise was a spin-off of the ‘Music, Perfect Pitch for A Sound Education’ programme developed jointly by FGFS/FGB and the Ministry of Education last October and has been introduced in six primary schools in the Corporate Area, Mandeville and St James. The initiative seeks to assist grade three students diagnosed as performing below their grade level. First Global said it spent over $1million to furnish the six schools with music instruments in an effort to make the project a reality.
