NEWCOMER Tidal is getting the attention he has always craved. The fast-rising deejay recently teamed up with singer Gyptian on the single, Give it to Me Baby.

The track has been serviced to radio stations and so far the feedback has been positive.

Give it to Me Baby was officially recorded for producer Jason Donaldson, but Henri Lanz of finland and American Goodwill co-produced a dance version.

Lanz and goodwill are known for their work with Justin Bieber and Jadakiss.

Tidal recently explained how the song came about.

“I was at Blackbloodz studio and Gyptian was ‘vibing’ a song. He offered me the opportunity to be a part of the recording because he was impressed with some of the material that I had done before,” he told Catch di Riddim. “As a young and hungry artiste searching for every opportunity, I gladly accepted.”

According to Tidal, the producers heard the track and said they could ‘do magic with the vocals on a crossover beat’.

“I was convinced and sent them the vocals because I worked with MGI before and I knew about the quality of their productions,” Tidal pointed out.

Tidal, whose real name is Navardo Graham, is signed to Master One Productions label.

His previous single was Ballground.

Gramps Morgan releases Reggae Music Lives

Morgan Heritage’s Gramps Morgan has released his sophomore album, Reggae Music Lives. The set, which has been described as ‘musical therapy’ has been released on the singer’s Dada Son Entertainment label.

The album is the follow-up to his 2009 debut, 2 Sides of My Heart Vol 1.

The Almighty, the first single from Reggae Music Lives, has already made reggae charts stateside.

Producers include Stanley ‘Rellee’ Hayden and Alberto Cruz (known as the A-Team), Clive Hunt, Jason ‘J-Vibe’ Farmer, Llamar ‘Riff Raff’ Brown, Delroy ‘Delly’ Foster and Kemar ‘Flava’ McGregor.

American neo-soul singer India Arie appears on the album.

Rasco’s video for Gnarly blows up

Dancehall artiste Rasco is doing well with his latest song and music video, Gnarly.

The song is rocking radio and the video has gone viral with over 66,000 views on the wickedhype.com website.

“Gnarly is about a lifestyle of crazy partying, self-confidence and charm. As soon as I heard the ‘riddim’ I felt the party energy,” rasco said. “The first line that I wrote was ‘make me tell you when we party’; everything fell into place after that. Like I always say, I don’t just create music I create a lifestyle.”

Gnarly is the follow-up to Rasco’s Rude Bwoy Rankin and was produced by Tarik ‘Russian’ Johnston of Head Concussion Records.

The video was directed by Biggz Di Boss of BDBMG, which is also part of Rasco’s label aRascoMusic. The video was shot on location in South Beach, Miami.
