ISSA U14 semi-final match-ups to be decided today
SPOT VALLEY, St James — The match-ups in the semi-finals of the ISSA/KFC Western Conference Under-14 boys’ basketball competition will be decided this afternoon after three-time defending champions Cornwall College take on Spot Valley at Spot Valley.
Both Spot Valley and Cornwall College will join leaders Herbert Morrison Technical and Muschett High in the semi-finals set for Wednesday at the Montego Bay Cricket Club.
The finals will be played at Cricket Club on Friday.
Spot Valley lead Cornwall College by a point, 13 to 12, and a win today would give them second place, while it would take a tie-breaker to decide, if Cornwall College should win, which would leave both schools tied on 13 points.
Herbert Morrison has already secured the top spot, finishing with a perfect eight-win preliminary season for 16 points after dismissing eliminated Holland High 22-13 in the final game played at the Montego Bay Cricket Club on Friday.
Muschett, who forfeited two games to Cornwall College last week, are in fourth place on eight points.
