Boundbrook advance in LIME/INSPORT Primary football

BOUNDBROOK were crowned parish champions of Portland in the LIME/INSPORTS Primary Football League after beating Fellowship, 2-0, at Carder Park on Monday.

Two first-half goals inside 20 minutes from Andrew Layne and Assani Allwood won the game early for Boundbrook.

The Portland champions now join Denbigh (Clarendon); Holy Family (Kingston), Tarrant (St Andrew) and Christiana Moravian (Manchester) as early qualifiers for the National Round.

Three more teams will join the National Round pool today following the playing of the St Catherine, Trelawny and Portmore finals.

At Prison Oval, the St Catherine champions will be known when Gregory Park face Bridgeport in the Portmore decider at 11:00 am and McAuley go up against Eltham Park in the parish final at 1:00 pm.

McAuley, the St Catherine title-holders and beaten national finalists, are seeking to join Kingston’s Holy Family as the only parish winners to make a second appearance at the National Play-offs.

Elsewhere, Kinloss Primary of Trelawny will be aiming to achieve the same when they face Clarks Town at Elleston Wakeland Complex at 2:30 pm.

In the St Ann semi-finals at Addison Park, Mount Mariah tackle St Ann’s Bay in the early game at 11:00 am, and defending parish champions Steer Town meet Lower Buxton in the feature game at 12:30 pm.
