Patricia Hall runs lifetime best
JAMAICA’S Patricia Hall ran a lifetime best 50.71 seconds to place second in the 400m at the Bislett Games in Norway, a part of the IAAF Diamond League series, earlier today.
The former Vere Technical athlete who improved on her previous personal best 51.40 seconds set last year, became the second fastest Jamaican over the distance this year and seventh best in the world, peaking at the right time for the Jamaican Trials for the London Olympic Games next month.
Hall trails on Novlene Williams-Mills who ran 49.99 seconds to win at the JAAA JII meet at the national stadium in May and is ranked number three in the world.
Botswana’s Amantle Montsho won the race in 49.68 seconds while Olympic silver medallist Shericka Williams was fifth in 51.56 seconds.
