34 curfews imposed in Corporate Area, St Catherine, Hanover and St James

A total of 34 curfews have been imposed in several communities in the Corporate Area, St Catherine, Hanover and St James.

The curfews began at 7:00 pm yesterday and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm tomorrow.

The boundaries of the curfews are as follows.

Kintyre and Tavern

North along an imaginary line from the intersection of Gordon Town Road and Tavern Drive to Camp View Road;

East along and imaginary line from Camp View road to the intersection of Hope Flats Road and Kintyre Road;

South along Kintyre Road from the intersection with Hope Flats road to the intersection with Tavern Drive; and

West along Tavern Drive from the intersection with Hope Flats Road using an imaginary line to the intersection with Gordon Town Road.

African Gardens, August Town

North along Reserve Road from the hillside using an imaginary line to Hope River (Bottom River);

East along Hope River (Bottom River) using an imaginary line from Reserve Road to the southern boundary;

South along an imaginary line from Hope River (Bottom River) to the unpainted upstairs house on the hillside; and

West along the hillside from the unpainted upstairs house to Reserve Road.

Jungle 12 and Bryce Hill, August Town

North along Bryce Hill Road from Bryce Hill Lane (Duppy Lane) to August Town Road;

East along August Town Road from Bryce Hill Road to Jungle 12 vicinity the tyre;

South along Marl Road from Jungle 12 vicinity the tyre to Bryce Hill Lane (Duppy Lane); and

West along Bryce Hill Lane from Marl Road to Bryce Hill Road.

Southside

North along Tower Street from St Michaels Lane to South Camp Road;

East along St Michaels Lane from Tower Street to Water Lane;

South along Water Lane from South Camp Road to St. Michaels Lane; and

West along South Camp Road from Tower Street to Water Lane.

Grants Pen

North along Charlton Road using an imaginary line from the ford to the intersection of Charlton Road and Shortwood Road then onto Markland Avenue to the intersection of Markland Avenue and Acadia Drive;

East along Barbican Road onto Acadia Drive from the intersection with Markland Avenue using an imaginary line to the gully at Oaklawn Drive;

South along the gully bank using an imaginary line from the gully at Oaklawn Drive to East Dulwich Avenue onto Dulwich Drive onto Beresford Avenue onto Upper Waterloo Road vicinity the bridge at 7 Shortwood Road; and

West along the gully bank using an imaginary line from the bridge at 7 Shortwood Road onto Fagan Avenue to the fording at Charlton Road.

Castle Heights

North along an imaginary line from Russell Heights Road vicinity the lawn mower repair shop to the intersection of Birdsucker Lane and Graham Heights Road;

East along Birdsucker Lane from the intersection with Graham Heights Road to Barbican Road;

South along Barbican Road from the intersection with Birdsucker Lane to the intersection with Russell Heights Road; and

West along Russell Heights Road from the intersection with Barbican Road to the northern boundary.

Fletchers Land

North along Duke Street from New North Street to North Street;

Ease along North Street from Duke Street to Orange Street;

South along Orange Street from North Street to New North Street; and

West along New North Street from Orange Street using an imaginary line to Duke Street.

Park Heights

North along Falmouth West from Logwood Road to Blenheim Road;

East along Blenheim Road from Falmouth West to Cherisma Way;

South along Cherisma Way from Blenheim Road to Logwood Road; and

West along Logwood Road from Cherisma Way to Falmouth West;

Portmore Lane/Washington Boulevard

North along Portmore Lane from Newland main road to Germaine Road;

East along Germaine Road from Portmore Lane to an imaginary line behind Washington Boulevard;

South along an imaginary line behind Washington Boulevard from Germaine Road to Newland main road; and

West along Newland main road from an imaginary line behind Washington Boulevard to Portmore Lane;

Naggo Head

North along Manley Lane from West Bank to Newland main road;

East along Newland main road from Manley Lane to Naggo Head Road;

South along Naggo Head Road from Newland main road to West Bank; and

West along West Bank from Naggo Head Road to Manley Lane;

Newland

North along Tana Lane from the gully bank to Newland main road;

East along Newland main road from Tana Lane to Anglin Lane;

South along Anglin Lane from Newland main road to the gully bank; and

West along the gully bank from Anglin Lane to Tana Lane.

Big Lane, Central Village

North along an imaginary line from Big Lane to the New Testament Church of God;

East along Big lane from an imaginary line leading from the New Testament Church of God to the Rio Cobre River bank;

South along Rio Cobre River bank from Big Lane to an imaginary line leading from the New Testament Church of God to the river; and

West along an imaginary line from the New Testamant Church of God to the Rio Cobre River.

Little Lane

North along Mandela Highway from the western boundary to Andrew Lane;

East along Andrew Lane from Mandela Highway to the river bed;

South along the river bed from Andrew Lane to the western boundary; and

West along an imaginary line from the river bed to Mandela Highway.

Phase 1, Waterford

North along the playing field from Manhertz Road to Caymanas Drive;

East along Caymanas Drive from the playing field to Portland West;

South along Portland West from Caymanas Drive to Manhertz Road; and

West along Manhertz Road from Portland West to the playing field.

Gordon Pen

North along an imaginary line from Eltham Basic School to West End;

East along an imaginary line from West End to the Rio Cobre;

South along an imaginary line from the Rio Cobre to the Light and Power Station; and

West along an imaginary line from the Light and Power Station to Eltham Basic School.

Ellerslie Pen

North along Old Harbour Road from Old Harbour round-a-bout to Rail Way Lane;

East along Rail Way Lane from Old Harbour Road to Oxford Road;

South along Oxford Road from Rail Way Lane to Spanish Town Bypass; and

West along the Spanish Town Bypass from Oxford Road to Old Harbour round-a-bout.

St Johns Road/75-91 Lanes

North along St Johns Road from 91 Lane to 75 Lane;

South along Clayton Crescent from 75 Lane to 91 Lane;

East along 75 Lane from St Johns Road to Clayton Crescent; and

West along 91 Lane from Clayton Crescent to St Johns Road.

54-70 St Johns Road/41-55 Job Lane

NORTH Along an imaginary line from the western boundary to the eastern boundary;

South along St Johns Road from #54 St. Johns Road to #70 St Johns Road;

East along an imaginary line from the northern boundary to St Johns Road; and

West along an imaginary line from #54 St Johns Road to the northern boundary.

Lauriston/Percy Bush

North along Bunny Blue Flag Boulevard from Sun Fisher Drive to the warehouse;

South along Sombrero Drive from Bunny Blue Flag Boulevard to Chevelair Drive;

East along the Sligoville main road from Bunny Blue Flag Boulevard to New Life Church of God on Chevelair Drive; and

West along Sun Fisher Drive from Sombrero Drive to Bunny Blue Flag Boulevard.

Town Centre, Spanish Town

North along Burke Road from Oxford Road to March Pen Road;

South along an imaginary line at the back of Railway Premises, from March Pen Road to Oxford Road;

East along March Pen Road from Burke Road to the southern boundary; and

West along Oxford Road from the southern boundary to Burke Road.

De La Vega City

North along an imaginary line at Dela Vega City playing field from Salt Pond Road to Port Henderson Road;

East along Port Henderson main road from the northern boundary to the Spanish Town Bypass;

South along the Spanish Town Bypass from Port Henderson Road to Salt Pond Road; and

West along Salt Pond Road from the Spanish Town Bypass to the northern boundary.

Job Lane

North along an imaginary line parallel to the Canal at the back of Forrest/Job Lane from the western boundary to the eastern boundary;

South along Job Lane from the eastern boundary to the western boundary;

East along  an imaginary line from the northern boundary to Job Lane; and

West along an imaginary line from Job Lane to the northern boundary.

Wynters Pen

North along McKoy Land main road from Fairfield Road to Back Road;

South along Coles Gardens main road from Back Road to Fairfield Road;

East along Back Road from McKoy Land main road to Coles Gardens main road; and

West along Fairfield Road from Coles Gardens main road to McKoy Land main road.

Lakes Pen

North along the Rio Cobre from the western boundary to the eastern boundary;

Lucea

North along an imaginary line from the intersection of Kew Road and Mt Piece main road to the intersection of the Johnson Town main road and Johnson Town old road;

West along an imaginary line from Macquarie Square to Bamboo Drive.

Salt Spring

North along Quarry main road from Middle Road to Top Quarry Road;

East along Top Quarry Road onto Top Melbourne Road from Quarry main road to the southern boundary;

South along an imaginary line from Top Melbourne Road to Bottom Melbourne Road; and

West along Bottom Melbourne Road onto Middle Road from the southern boundary to Quarry main road.

Salt Spring Community

North along an imaginary line from Cottage main road to Bucktoe Lane;

East along Bucktoe Lane from the northern boundary to Salt Spring main road;

South along Salt Spring main road from Bucktoe Lane to Cottage main road; and

West along Cottage main road from Salt Spring main road to the northern boundary.

Granville

North along Pitfour Drive from Chambers Drive to Pitfour Boulevard;

North along Nelly Lane from the ‘Welcome to Hollywood’ sign to Colombia Square;

East along Colombia Square from Nelly Lane to Hendon main road;

South along Hendon main road from Colombia to Dakatone Square; and

West along Hollywood main road from Dakatone Square to the ‘Welcome to Hollywood’ sign.

Norwood, UGA and Church Lanes

North along Gulf Main Road from Hart Boulevard to the eastern boundary;

East along an imaginary line from Gulf Main Road to the southern boundary;

South along an imaginary line from the eastern boundary to Hart Boulevard; and

West along Hart Boulevard from the southern boundary to Gulf Main road.

Mount Salem

North along Mount Salem Main Road from Peddlars Lane to Bottom Clarke Street;

East along Bottom Clarke Street from Mount Saalem Main Road to the southern boundary;

South along an imaginary line from Bottom Clarke Street to Peddlars Lane; and

West along Peddlars Lane from the southern boundary to Mount Salem Road.

During the hours of the curfews all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the member of security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfew.
