Kirk Franklin for Fun in the Son
AMERICAN gospel artiste Kirk Franklin is the headline act at this year’s Best Dressed Fun in the Son Gospel Festival at the National Heroes Park, National Heroes Circle on Saturday,
July 14.
This will be the artiste’s second appearance on the annual show having performed in 2010.
The event, now in its 10th year, is free to public and sponsored by the Jamaica Broilers Group through its Best Dressed Chicken brand, in association with
Glory Music.
“We look forward to this year’s Best Dressed Fun in the Son Gospel Festival being the biggest ever, especially as it is being held during the period when Jamaica will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of our Independence. The festival will be Jamaica Broilers Group’s gift to Jamaica,” said Christopher Levy, president and CEO of the Jamaica Broilers Group.
During the festival, international evangelist Andrew Palau will minister the word while hundreds of peer evangelists are expected to move through the crowd to assist patrons on their path to Christ.
Several top performers sharing the stage include: Junior Tucker, Papa San, Carlene Davis, DJ Nicholas, Goddy Goddy, Denise Wright, and Rondell Positive backed by On The Shout Band. Two internationally based groups – New Creation, comprising Jamaican singers and musicians, and Simply Chrysolite, the highly acclaimed all-girl gospel group from South Africa — are expected to perform.
To mark the 50th anniversary of our nation’s independence, there will be a series of free Heritage Tours of the National Heroes Monument Park throughout the day.
