Hayles commits $250,000 to Hanover 4-H Clubs
LUCEA, Hanover — Member of Parliament for Western Hanover Ian Hayles has committed $250,000 from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to assist in the Hanover 4-H Club’s training programme.
The commitment was made during the club’s annual awards and annual general meeting ceremony, held at the Hopewell High School in Hanover last Thursday.
Hayles also promised to make a similar donation to the organisation during the next financial year.
“The 4-H movement is important and I will make available $250,000 from my Constituency Development Fund for training under the 4-H movement and I will commit myself again to doing the same thing next financial year,” he told the gathering.
The function was held under the theme “Youth Involvement in Agriculture for Economic Growth & Development.”
Over 14 awards were presented to various schools and 4-H groups across the parish during the well attended function.
