Fire management, security staff, contracting company at Petrojam
Dear Editor,
The Virgin Islands chapter of G2K calls on the Government of Jamaica to move quickly on the national issues that are affecting the nation. We call on the Minister of Energy Phillip Paulwell to fire the entire management, security staff and contracting company at Petrojam.
The recent events at the state-run agency are unbearable to taxpayers and pose a moral responsibility to all Jamaicans.
We ask the prime minister to make it her duty to see that justice is served for the same poor she professes to love. Leadership is needed in these matters. We call on Damian Crawford, Raymond Pryce, Dr Dayton Campbell and all the younger ones in Parliament to stand up and not allow this to go under the covers. Integrity, decency and moral justice most be seen.
Power cuts, broken stop lights everywhere; 260 barrels of fuel stolen from Petrojam in broad daylight; crime on the rise; inflation in the double digits. We the overseas chapter are deeply concerned about these issues because Jamaica will not attract the new overseas investments that are well needed in the country.
