Taylor leads Ja to women’s T20 title
PLAYER of the tournament Stafanie Taylor piloted Jamaica to a 16-run victory over Trinidad & Tobago in the championship match of the inaugural West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Women’s Twenty20 (T20) tournament at Sabina Park.
The West Indies star batter struck a composed, unbeaten 57 in Jamaica’s modest 101-5 on a flat-looking batting surface. She lived up to her billing as the ICC top-ranked all-rounder with figures of 4-9 to help dismiss T&T for 85 with eight balls still remaining in the innings.

Britney Cooper (18) was the top batter for T&T, while West Indies stand-out Deandra Dottin contributed 16.
Left-arm spinner Shanel Daley supported Taylor with 3-13, while Vanessa Watts claimed 2-14.
In the third-place match at the same venue, Barbados defeated Guyana by seven wickets.
