Nicole Richie shares adorable childhood snaps

As the adored only daughter of the singer Lionel Richie and his ex-wife Brenda, Nicole Richie was lavished with the finest clothes and toys that money could buy. But tastes have changed over the years, and Nicole shared a treasured 1985 snap of herself as a four-year-old, wearing a frilly outfit of lace and embroidery. She laughed about the picture, writing “Is it too late to audition for Toddlers And Tiaras?” Another snap, posted by her adoptive mother Brenda, showed the pair wearing matching peach lace gowns. Her mother joked: “I really want to post the one of us in black beaded skirts and white blouses! You look totally mortified! Love, MOM.” Nicole asked her fans: “Does your mother treat you this way?”

Brenda and then husband Lionel took Nicole in as a three-year-old when her biological parents were unable to provide for her. She was legally adopted by the couple when she was nine years old. When their marriage ended they indulged Nicole’s every whim, and she reflected in Vanity Fair: “Their way of making me happy was to say yes to everything I wanted, but I don’t think a little girl should have that much freedom.”Nicole is now a mother of two herself to four-year-old daughter Harlow and two-year-old son Sparrow.

Ricky enlists his father for stroller duty

He has his hands full with his twin three-year-old toddlers. And with partner Carlos González Abella away for the day, Ricky Martin enlisted his father Enrique Martín to help with stroller duties in New York last Tuesday. The three generations of Martins took little Matteo and Valentino for pizza in Manhattan. Walking side by side, father and son chatted away while the toddlers sat nestled in their pushers. Dressed in red and blue outfits, the two boys sat contently as they took in all of the hustle and bustle of the city. Ricky displayed his buff torso and numerous arm tattoos in a white T-shirt paired with beige cargo trousers and a New York Yankees baseball cap. The openly gay star, who now is a popular draw in the Broadway production of Evita, sported some sparse facial hair.

Born To Drive!

She’s starred in her fair share of sexy photoshoots since hitting the bigtime with her debut single Video Games. And now Lana Del Rey has posed for another smouldering set of pictures, after being announced as the face of Jaguar’s new F-Type sports car. The 26-year-old singer is seen wearing a plunging white swimsuit and floppy straw hat as she poses in a swimming pool in the photographs. The new shoot comes after Lana was announced to be ‘collaborating’ on the launch of the new two-seater sports car. In a press release, the company announced: ‘Singer songwriter, Lana Del Rey will collaborate with Jaguar on the launch of the all-new F-TYPE, a two-seater sports car that is a vivid representation of the vitality of the Jaguar brand. ‘The allure of Jaguar is in large part due to its duality – a unique blend of authenticity and modernity, two values that we believe are shared with Lana in her professional achievements.’ Lana seems to be a bit of a secret petrol head, and has been snapped driving around Los Angeles driving a vintage Mercedes.

She also penned a track called Driving In Cars With Boys where she sings about how much she loves being driven around. The lyrics: ‘Mommy’s Mercedes or Billy’s pickup truck, I call em all late at night, baby fix me up, Told them just drive on and d-don’t ever stop, Don’t take me home again, take me to a new land,’ are an ode to driving through the city after dark. Concept images of the new F-Type hint to a car that is well tuned to Jaguar’s usual high design standards.
