Simply The Best at 72!

She may be 72 years old, but disco diva Tina Turner is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact the singer seemed to be in the mood to party as she enjoyed lunch aboard a luxury yacht in Dubrovnik, Croatia last Thursday. The star stood on the deck of the boat and appeared to be having a little dance as she waved her hands in the air. Tina was seen having a leisurely meal with a few friends on the Lady Marina, docked in Dubrovnik harbour, and appeared to be having a great time. At one point she was seen trying on a pair of American flag-rimmed sunglasses and also exchanged gifts with a pal. She is turning 73 later this year but Tina looked youthful and was energetic during her sun-filled day. Tina certainly doesn’t look her age and even her trademark shaggy hair has barely changed since her heyday. Although the singer is rarely seen out and about in public she attended a Giorgio Armani fashion show in Hong Kong in June. Tina lives in a lake house in Zurich, Switzerland with her long-term German-based music executive beau Erwin Bach, whom she has been dating since 1985.

Moretz in blood-soaked prom dress for Carrie remake

Here Chloë Moretz stands, soaked to the skin… her pretty prom dress drenched in pig’s blood. The 15-year-old actress is, of course, in full costume as the iconic cinematic character Carrie White — in the first official still from the hotly anticipated rebooted Carrie movie. Holding her hands out in front of her, and staring wildly with mouth agape, Moretz captures the essence of the troubled telekinetic teen. The image shows Carrie just after she was made high school prom queen in a cruel prank – with her bullying peers tipping two buckets of pig’s blood over her from the stage-rigging above the ceremony. Entertainment Weekly published the image on its website this week, along with a first look at Julianne Moore in character as Carrie’s fundamentalist and Bible-thumping mother, Margaret. The remake — based on the Stephen King novel — is set for release in March next year, with director Kimberly Peirce helming the modernised, more character-focused version. The 1976 original movie — directed by Brian De Palma — proved a career-defining role for Sissy Spacek, earning her an Oscar nomination the following year. Piper Laurie played Moore’s character in the first cinematic version of the horror tale. In-demand teen Moretz has been started shooting the film in Toronto.

Man who broke into LL Cool J’s home faces LIFE in prison

A homeless man accused of allegedly breaking into the California home of LL Cool J, was charged today with first-degree burglary with a person present, and faces a maximum of 38 years to life in prison if convicted. Los Angeles County prosecutors are asking bail be set at $1.1 million for 56-year-old Jonathan Kirby, who has been convicted of at least two serious crimes. Prosecutors say Kirby remains in a hospital with a broken nose, jaw and ribs after the early Wednesday altercation with the NCIS: Los Angeles actor. LL Cool J, who play a special agent on the show, was woken by a security alarm in the early hours of Wednesday morning. He is said to have found Kirby in the kitchen, where he took him down in a ‘knock-out’ fight and held him until police arrived. LL Cool J is not likely to face criminal charges as a result of the violent exchange because detectives believe the actor acted in self-defence. “LL Cool J and his family are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern,” his representative said. “As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter.”
