Sandals and Beaches Negril stage back-to-school fairs
NEGRIL, Westmoreland – EMPLOYEES of Sandals and Beaches Resorts in Negril will have a lot less reasons to dig deep into their coffers this academic year, thanks to the management team, which hosted back-to- school fairs at both resorts on Thursday and Friday respectively.
Sandals Negril hosted its fun day on the lawns of resort’s sports complex, providing non-stop entertainment for over 100 staff members’ children who were treated to exciting activities such as horseback riding, movie time, clown antics, face painting, bounce-a-bout, competitive races and scrumptious meals. Parents also had their fair share of fun, splattering their favourite managers with paint and dunking them in a dunk tank. Lucky employees won back-to-school cash prizes and a backpack filled with school supplies.
Beaches Negril employees also got a chance to win numerous back-to-school items including books, pencils, pens, art supplies and backpacks during the hotel’s Back to School Jamboree and staff birthday party.
According to Sandals Negril’s General Manager Andre Dhanpaul, “the day was a huge success and our staff members certainly appreciated the gesture. We all want to spend less during the back-to-school season, and this was definitely a great way to help offset their expenses.”
Adrian Whitehead, Beaches Negril’s general manager, shared the same sentiments, adding that just hearing “thank you” from the staff members is a wonderful feeling for the management team.
Emron Manna, one of the employees who won the $10,000 back-to-school cash prize, was thankful for the win.
“This can go a long way in purchasing supplies for this school year. That’s $10,000 less that I will have to take out of my pockets. Thank you, Sandals!”
