Lisa Price, Founder of Carol’s Daughter For FNO
That’s right! The genius behind Carol’s Daughter will be here in Kingston, Jamaica, for FNO to introduce the amazing Monoi Repairing Duo. Kudos to Aisha Morgan of Nettle & Moss who continues to expose us not only to the best in haircare products but to amazing entrepreneurs like Lisa Price.
The Monoi Repairing Duo
The Monoi collection is formulated to moisturise, condition and strengthen weak, brittle, over-processed hair.
The line features the Monoi Repairing Shampoo, a sulphate-free shampoo that gently cleanses the hair and scalp and will not leave the hair feeling dry and stripped. The Monoi oil helps to repair fine, or heat-damaged hair.
The Monoi Repairing Conditioner, a moisture and protein-packed intense conditioner, infuses the hair with moisture while restructuring the hair to help prevent snapping and breaking. Ideal for dry, damaged, chemically treated hair.
WIN! WIN! WIN!

1. Patience
When it comes to transitioning, patience is the name of the game. You have to recognise that if you have been relaxing your hair for years it may take you a couple of years to learn about this new hair on your head. That process is slowed down or sped up based on the approach you choose — Big Chop, Protective Styling and Grow Out, but also on your patience level. If you get fed up six months in and lose your patience, you can find yourself back at the drawing board.
2. Moisturise
It is so important to keep hair moisturised to prevent dryness, breakage and an itchy scalp. If you are a transitioner, that moisture is even more key to your process. It starts with sulfate-free cleansing, moves into deep conditioning and ends with the proper hair dress. Carol’s Daughter offers many solutions that address moisture — the Transitioning 1-2-3 Kit, our Monoi Repairing range and the Hair Milk line — to name a few.
3. Consistency
Once you make the choice to take better care of your hair, you cannot stop and expect it to take care of itself. Experiment at first and find the right mix of products for your hair lifestyle and then be consistent. Give them a chance to work, give your hair a chance to respond, and give yourself a chance to get used to something new.
