Widespread disruption in Corporate Area water supply

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Many Corporate Area residents are now without water or experiencing low water pressure due to issues at two of the National Water Commission’s (NWC) facilities.

Millsborough Avenue, Millsborough Crescent, Linnamon Crescent and surrounding areas are being affected by operational challenges at the Tavistock Tank, which supplies the area.

NWC says that regular service is expected to resume by 6:00am on Friday.

Additionally, August Town, Hope Flats, Papine, Gordon Town, Mona Heights, Hope Road, Beverly Hills, Hope Pastures, Kintyre and Hope Flats are experiencing also disruptions.

That’s due to high turbidity, which is affecting the Hope Filter Plant.

Regular service should resume by 6:00pm today, the NWC reported.
