Sunshine after the rain!

People Post

Her daytime show has continued despite the threat of heavy wind and rain running the filming schedule. And Kelly Ripa showed that Hurricane Sandy would not easily affect her social life in the Big Apple either. The 42-year-old put on a display of happiness on Thursday as she took to the streets with her husband. Kelly and actor Mark Consuelos were spotted taking a romantic walk through New York City as the streets looked a little quieter during the day time. The husband and wife — who have three children together — cosied up in warm coats as they wandered around the Upper East Side. Ripa looked casual with her blonde locks tied back underneath a black rosette hairband. She teamed it with a warm grey padded coat, featuring fur lining in the hood as well as brown boots over her blue jeans. Her partner, 41, fashioned a fedora hat with an electric blue jacket and pocketed trousers. The couple linked arms and touched hands during the outing, with Kelly leaning her head in to Mark’s should at one point.

Tat wasn’t there before!

She’s known for her good girl image, and usually looks as though butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth. But it would seem Elizabeth Olsen has been given an edgy new addition to her look for her role in upcoming movie, Oldboy. Shooting scenes for the new film in New Orleans, Louisiana, the 23-year-old actress was sporting a barbed wire tattoo on her forearm. A million miles away from her usual clean-cut style, the inking — which is presumably fake — was clearly visible as Elizabeth’s brown V-neck jumper rode up her arm. Wearing minimal make-up and a dowdy-looking sweater, the star looked a far cry from her usually groomed appearance. Meanwhile, Olsen’s co-star Josh Brolin was spotted looking mean and moody as he showed off his muscular physique on set. Wearing a black deep-V T-shirt and black trousers, the actor looked every inch the hard man as he got to work shooting new scenes. Oldboy — directed by Spike Lee — is the American remake of the 2003 South Korean revenge thriller by the same name. However, Olsem has insisted the movie isn’t just a reboot of the original, but will actually be more true to the Japanese manga. In an interview with Empire Podcast, she explained: “It’s not trying to redo the film – it’s coming at it from a different point of view. As well as focusing on the primary source of the Korean film, for our film there’s also the Japanese Manga, so we’re using the primary source of the illustrated novel, really.” In Oldboy, Josh Brolin portrays a man who has been captured and imprisoned for years in a private cell with no idea who has put him there. Upon his release, the perplexed prisoner attempts to unravel the mystery of what happened to him while social worker Marie — played by Olsen — helps investigate his past.

‘John Travolta’s the love of my life’

She’s been married twice, but Kirstie Alley has revealed her real true love isn’t one of her ex-husbands. The actress has confessed she fell hard for John Travolta while they were filming Look Who’s Talking and has never found anyone who measures up to him. She described the actor as the ‘love of my life’ in a new shock interview on 20/20 with Barbara Walters, which aired last Friday night. Walters gave a sneak peek of the confession in a preview clip on The View last week. The Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars contestant was married to fellow actor Parker Stevenson at the time, and Travolta was single when the shot the movie, which was released in 1989. Alley tells Walters her attraction to Travolta was dynamic, adding: “It took all the power I had not to run off with him.” Because she was married, the 61-year-old said she did not pursue a relationship. However, she went on to make two sequels with Travolta, Look Who’s Talking Too and Look Who’s Talking Now! Travolta married actress Kelly Preston in 1991. The couple had three children, including son Jett who died in 2009. Over the years, Kirstie and John have remained extremely close thanks in part to their mutual beliefs in Scientology.
