What to do this Christmas?
WITH less than a week of school left, many of you might be wondering what could be done over the break. Of course, there are the parties and lyming to look forward to, but doesn’t it give you a feeling of restlessness after a while?
Here is a list of the things you might find fun to do over the Christmas break:
1 Spend time with the family
It might sound cliché, but when was the last time you actually sat down and spoke to your relatives?
2 Visit the gramps
Who else can make the best ham and Christmas Cake?
3 Have a fancy outing
Yes, you’ll still be going out with friends, casually. But the experience is way better and different when everyone is decked out in their Sunday’s Best and tries to be their most elegant and posh.
4 Get a Christmas job
There are so many positives to this — you get paid, it looks good on your resumé, you might meet friends and even possibly learn a skill and ‘real world’ lessons.
5 Spend a little time reviewing schoolwork
Many of us might not want to admit to it, but don’t be that person who goes back to school and forgets how to write just because you were locked up indoors all day and on the computer.
6 Volunteer or visit a home
It is the season of giving so why not play your part? There is no better inner feeling. It might even be so fun and rewarding that it’s something you decide to continue.
There are many more things you could do, but give these a try and this Christmas will definitely be different from all the others.
