‘I don’t feel that I have ever been loved’

People Post

He has been married twice — to Madonna for four years, and then to actress Robin Wright for 13 years.

And now Sean Penn has opened up about his heartbreak over the failed relationships. The Hollywood star tells Esquire magazine that he thinks that throughout his romantic life, no woman has ever really loved him. The 52-year-old, musing over his love life with the magazine, said: “There is no shame in saying that we all want to be loved by someone. As I look back over my life in romance, I don’t feel I’ve ever had that.”

Penn and Wright had a particularly turbulent relationship. After the pair, who now share two grown-up children, tied the knot in 1996, their relationship went from on to off in the late 2000s. The couple filed for divorce in 2007, only to dismiss the filing and reconcile shortly after.

But in 2009, the union appeared to go sour again and Penn filed for legal separation. After a brief reconciliation, however, it was finally over in August 2009, when Wright filed for divorce and the couple’s split was made official in July 2010.

Penn tells the magazine that divorce made him realise the truth about his relationship. “‘When you get divorced, after all the truths that come out, you sit there and you go, “What was I doing? What was I doing believing that this person was invested in this way? Which is a fantastically strong humiliation in the best sense,” he says.

Taking the modelling world by storm!

She is only 17, but Kendall Jenner’s modelling career continues to go from strength to strength. The reality star, a member of the Kardashian clan, recently landed her first Vogue cover. And she turns cover girl once again for Panama magazine Blank.

Kendall stars in an edgy new shoot for the publication, and she is clearly proud of the results. The pretty brunette happily shared the cover and inside shots on her Twitter page on Wednesday. With red lipstick, black eyebrows and winged eyeliner, Kendall looks stunning in the series of images as she poses against a neon-lit backdrop. The star’s wardrobe for the shoot largely consisted of metallics, in the form of shiny silver tops and studded jackets. For the cover image, Kendall wears a 1980s-inspired dress with shoulder pads and eye-catching gold cuffs. Her famous family were quick to compliment Kendall on her achievements.

Kourtney Kardashian wrote on her Twitter page: ‘Um…. @KendallJenner, you look INSANE here!!! SO gorgeous!’

Sir Ian McKellen reveals prostate cancer diagnosis

He revealed earlier this week that he’s been fighting prostate cancer ever since receiving his diagnosis six to seven years ago.

But Sir Ian McKellen brushed off his health issues to walk the green carpet at the UK premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey last Wednesday evening. The actor may have spilled the beans on his personal life revealing his scare, but he was a picture of health and happiness at the royal screening. McKellen cosied up to his co-star Cate Blanchett for the premiere as they posed for photographs together. And he was certainly in a jovial mood as he posed with his coat jacket pulled out to show off his electric blue satin lining.

Only a day earlier he revealed he was secretly diagnosed with prostate cancer six to seven years ago.

The Hobbit actor, 73, admitted he hasn’t had any treatment for the disease, but is examined regularly and it is ‘contained’.

He admitted he originally feared the worst when doctors first told him he had the disease, but his concerns were soon allayed. He told The Sun: “You do gulp when you hear the news. It’s like when you go for an HIV test, you go ‘Arghhh, is this the end of the road?’ They say you have cancer of the prostate and then that you can have it zapped.” He said he was told: “You can have it snipped but you are not a candidate for that. You are waitful watching.”

McKellen discovered he had the disease after he went to the doctor after finding he was repeatedly needing the toilet at night. But he seems to be dealing with his health issues well, and is still battling on with his work well into his seventies.
