Rogers slams ton in INSPORTS Twenty/20

A century knock of 172 from Jason Rogers steered Burnt Ground to an easy 56-run victory over Abraham in the Raymond Pryce/ INSPORTS Community T20 Cricket in Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth, on Sunday.

Rogers’ innings, the highest individual score of the competition so far, saw his team to 213 for three from 20 overs. Abraham tried to make a game of the contest with Oshane Hutchinson topscoring with 62.

But good work in the field by Burnt Ground, as well as some poor batting, saw Abraham all out for 163.

Earlier, Rocky Hill defeated Good Hope by 22 runs in a low-scoring game. Rocky Hill were dismissed for 78, but were even better in the field, as they bowled out Good Hope for 56 to record their first victory of the season. The competition continues on Sunday.
