Robert Stephens, board chairman of the 24-year-old Jamaica Conservation and Development Trust (JCDT), receives a cheque from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Senator Arnold J Nicholson at the ministry’s office in Kingston on December 20. The JCDT was among five organisations to receive funds collected from the London and Washington missions during their Jamaica 50 church services. Looking on is state minister in the ministry, Arnaldo Brown. The cheques, Nicholson said, are “a token of the esteem in which the Diaspora holds Jamaicans at home”.
