TIFFANY McDaniel likes to be different which explains the contrasting visuals of her 2010 Nissan 370Z Touring.

The factory metallic black paint paired with the AMS body kit gives it that aggressive vibe. However, the matching matte black 20-inch Icon wheels and their pink lips clearly indicate something else is happening.

“I had them painted pink,” she told Auto. “I can’t have something everyone else has. The pink rims are unique.”

That drive to set herself apart from the crowd began several vehicles ago.

“I had a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, then a Toyota MR-S,” she said.

Such an eclectic ownership continued in January 2011 when the 370z arrived.

“I wanted a car no-one else had, and it had to stand out. It was the first in the country, and I only know of one other since.”

The 370z by itself is a potent performance machine with 332bhp from its 3.7-litre V6 engine driving its rear wheels. It’s tamed in Tiffany’s hands due to it having a seven-speed paddle-shifted automatic transmission. But her affection for performance is not lost in translation as the car is equipped with the factory sports package. This means larger brakes to withstand any circuit use, and a triple gauge cluster inside displaying the all important oil temperature for the Nissan. A voltmeter and digital clock completes the count.

The interior bridges the gap between race and comfort with leather bucket sports seats, and an amazing OEM Bose audio system.

As the car has finally met Tiffany’s aesthetic demands after three months of installation and paintwork, her next move is to add some ‘go’ to the ‘show’.

“The sky is the limit,” she said. “The next upgrades will be to the engine, cams, a new exhaust system. I might just even turbocharge it.”
