Copse take Madden’s domino title
LUCEA, Hanover – Copse won the Madden’s Hanover domino tournament recently after surviving a nerve wracking finish to beat Cacoon Castle by three points, 300-297, in the final played at the SDC complex at Watson Taylor Park, Lucea.
It was the second hold on the trophy for Copse having won the inaugural competition in 2010.
Their recent victory brought to an end an eight week- tournament that started in December last year.
Cacoon won the third place play-off beating Ramble 300-270 in the other match played.
Meanwhile, Copse and Cacoon Castle were tied at numerous times during the six-hour final, the last time at 297, when it came down to the selection of the six best players fielded by team captains to seal the deal, which saw Copse winning the final three games
The victorious Copse team won for themselves a cash prize of $75,000 and funding of a community project of their choice.
