Though masters on the track, the pool proved a bit daunting for the athletes, who instead of swimming chose to walk to the 15m mark and back several times. Other celebrities participating were Olympians Alia Atkinson, Grace Jackson, Allan Roy Marsh, technical director of Boys’ Town FC Andrew Price, and founder of the Marlins Swim Club, John Lopez. The event was held to raise funds for CARIFTA 2013 Swimming and Water Polo Championships, which will be held in Jamaica from March 30 through April 3. More than 16 countries are expected to participate in the event.
