SAMSUNG Electronics Company Ltd, the worldwide Olympic partner for Wireless Communications Equipment, is pleased to announce the corporation has become a partner of the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.
The announcement will take place at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games official one-year-to-go celebration in Moscow. JaeYoung Lee, vice-president of Samsung Electronics; Sir Philip Craven, president of International Paralympic Committee; and Dmitry Chernyshenko, president and CEO of Sochi 2014 Organising Committee, participated in the event and shared the excitement of the upcoming Paralympic Games.
Samsung has been a worldwide partner of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) since 2006. It was in Torino 2006 Paralympic Winter Games where Samsung performed as a worldwide partner of the Games for the first time ever.
Since then, Samsung has supported the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games and the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games as well as the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Now, being proud to perform as a worldwide Paralympic partner for the fifth time, Samsung aims to make the Paralympic Games an event that reaches a wider audience around the world, spreading the inspiration and excitement of the Games through its innovative wireless communication technologies.
“I would like to thank Samsung for their incredible support in delivering the Paralympic movement. Samsung’s technology and Paralympic campaigns have not only helped us successfully host the Games, but have also truly inspired the spectators to achieve their potential and engage with the Paralympic Games,” said Sir Philip.
