Fun, food and business at Men Who Cook
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — The 14th staging of the Men Who Cook fund-raiser of the Lions Club of Mandeville on April 28 attracted a diverse audience to the spacious grounds of Brooks Park.
Among those who served up special delights were Loven McCook, of Sagicor Bank; Merrick Plummer, Sagicor Life; Michael McLaren, Mack Chem Limited; Ian McNaughton, Barita Investments; Anthony Williams, First Heritage Co-operative Credit Union; Ryan Chen, Top Loaf Bake Shops; Ernest Lew, International Chinese Restaurant; Clint Ferguson, Thiiah’s Juices and Organic Foods; and Jones Oliphant, Councillor for the Mandeville Division.
Owner of Fruity Flavaz edible arrangements Borzana Jones told the Jamaica Observer Central that apart from being “a nice family day” the event was also an opportunity to expose her products and services in a venue showcasing a wide assortment of offerings from other companies.
Jacqueline Foster, past president of the Lions Club of Mandeville, said that this year’s proceeds will go to the Mandeville Regional Hospital and as contribution to the work of 3D Projects, which caters to the rehabilitation needs of persons with disabilities.
