Labour Day treat for W Kingston residents
RESIDENTS of West Kingston are in for a treat on Labour Day when the popular roots plays, Krosses and Scandal hold centre stage at the Denham Town High School.
The show begins at 6:00 p.m.
“This is the final showing of Krosses in Jamaica, so everybody needs to come out to see it. After this show, wi ah fly out to the US, then London and then we will be doing a Caribbean tour,” said actor Maxwell ‘Maama’ Grant, a member of the Krosses cast.
Grant co-stars with Keith ‘Shebada’ Ramsey while Scandal features Christopher ‘Johnny’ Daley, Michael Nicholson, Deon Silvera and Garfield ‘Bad Boy Trevor’ Reid.
Grant said the two-for-one “recession package” is a way for promoters Stages Productions to give back to the people of West Kingston.
“The people of West Kingston have given us so much support, so we are giving them ‘brawta’. They pay for one show and get the other free.”
Proceeds from the event will go to the What Can A Brother Do For Another Fund which helps the elderly and indigents from West Kingston communities.
