A memorable Bleu party series
LUCEA, Hanover: Bleu Memorial Weekend party series climaxed on Sunday at the Grand Palladium Hotel in Hanover, with the staging of the Ultimate Pool Party.
The stars were DJ Rusty and promoter-cum-deejay Kamal Bankay, who kept the scores of patrons rocking as they reeled off a masterful set of mixes.
They were ably supported by Trinidad and Tobago’s DJ Lava, DJ Gus Jay from Barbados, DJ Royal from the Cayman Islands and DJ Cruise.
The energy level never dipped even with the late evening rain.
Patrons gave the parties the thumbs up.
“The parties were amazing, especially the pool party. I had lots of fun,” said Lauren Tenn, who journeyed from Kingston. “This is my third Bleu and it seems to be getting bigger and bigger.”
The series of parties began on Friday with the Baby Blue Sleepwear Club Party and moved up a notch the following day with the Sky Bleu Beach Party, before the Bleu Ultimate Pool Party on Sunday.
Kamal Bankay, a director Dream Entertainment — organisers of the Bleu, said he was happy with the outcome of the parties.
“In terms of what we wanted to execute from a patron experience, we were able to get it. People have been giving us feedback from day one of the weekend. They have been telling us that it is an amazing concept and that there is nothing else like this in Jamaica. And once the patrons are happy, we are happy,” he said.
