Woman accused of beheading 4-y-o girl remanded
CLARK’S Trelawny — Marvia Patterson, the woman charged with murder in the death of four-year-old Natasha Brown, was remanded into custody when she appeared in the Clark’s Town Resident Magistrate’s Court today.
She is booked to re appear in court on August 2.
The matter was scheduled for the Falmouth Resident Magistrate’s Court but was moved to Clark’s Town in a bid to have control of the expected large crowd, the Jamaica Observer learned.
Patterson, 42, was taken into police custody last week Tuesday, following the shocking revelation by teachers at the Duanvale Basic School, where Natasha attended, that she did not report to school that day.
It is alleged that Patterson was the last person seen in the company of the girl before she went missing.
It is also alleged that Patterson severed Natasha’s head and then dumped the body, along with her severed head in a 25-foot sinkhole in the rural Duanvale farming community.
