Steer Town hunt three points against York Castle
DRAX HALL, St Ann — After coming within minutes of scoring a win in their first ever ISSA/LIME daCosta Cup game on Tuesday, Steer Town High will go in pursuit of three points today when they host York Castle High in the lone game to be played at Drax Hall, starting at 3:30 pm.
Steer Town led Ocho Rios High 1-0 until the very last kick of the game at Drax Hall on Tuesday and had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw, but will hope for better luck today against York Castle who were beaten 5-1 at home by Marcus Garvey Technical, who lead Zone I on goal difference over Cedric Titus High School.
York Castle will have more than pride to play for today, however, as they are coming off one of their best seasons in a long time, finished second in the zone last season and made a rare appearance in the Inter-Zone round where they lost all three games, scoring twice while conceding 12 goals.
Meanwhile, a massive fixture of 37 games will be played tomorrow and will see former champions Rusea’s High, Garvey Maceo and Vere Technical making their first appearances this season.
