Passenger killed during night-time bus ride; hero cop shot
A brazen robbery carried out by three men on a No 35 minibus operating between Parade in Kingston and Havendale in St Andrew would to end in the shooting death of an unsuspecting passenger — Ian McMorris — on the night of September 29, 1983.
This shocking experience was re-lived in the Home Circuit Court in 1988 — some four years after the arrest of the accused — by the principal witness for the prosecution, Special Constable Othniel Scott, who, himself a passenger on the ill-fated bus that night, had also been shot……….Read full article in our E-Paper here
