On page 83 of the Contractor General’s report on the Spalding shops fiasco, under the heading, Steps Taken to Regularise the Shops at the Spalding Market, the following is stated:
‘During the course of the investigation, it was observed that it was only in 2013 February that the Clarendon Parish Council began the process of seeking to rectify the issue regarding the 10 illegally constructed wooden shops.
